2016 PRE (ANCCE)
16.1 hands. Smokey black.
Affy is the horse with the biggest heart.
He's the tall, dark, and handsome gentleman that every woman is looking for.
He is THE ONE that you take home to Mom.
16.1 hands of pure heart, kindness, and try.
Affy unexpectedly came to me. I never had any intention of liking him so much, but here we are. This big gentle, PRE (Andalusian) has absolutely stolen everyone's heart around here.
He was originally imported from Spain and has made his way here to Nocona, Texas.
Ride him under any tack, and do all the things with him. I recently started practicing the elements of Working Equitation with him and he has SUCH a knack for it!
He's got the best trot ever. I could trot on this horse all day. He ALMOST has a flying change. He does know the Spanish Walk, and knows the foundation of Piaffe all at Liberty, in-hand, and under saddle. I have worked him on cattle and he locks on.
Affy is as honest as they come and wants to be the goodest boy. I have literally tried to push his buttons and he is just a solid citizen.
He is as gentle on the ground as he is under tack. Drops his head to be haltered.
He has an incredible work ethic at Liberty and wildly strong draw.
He runs to the handler when called, circles and changes direction, Spanish Walks, Piaffes, and works at shoulder all in a large space. If he sticks around, I plan on putting him in some performances and demos this year. I have started hauling him and he's doing great.
Affy would be an incredible partner for someone looking to have an all around partner to do Liberty, Working Equitation, general riding, and have FUN with a safe and big hearted horse. He does LOVE to jump and will get too hunting a jump.
He will be a tough one to let go of and don't be surprised if I cry when he gets loaded up to go to his new home.
I had NO intention of letting him go, but I have him to a point now that someone else will really enjoy him and if I want to get better I probably need a horse I can level up on if I do want to continue learning these Spanish horses.
He does have a scar on his hind right cannon. It's superficial and he is sound.
I did have radiographs done of the majority of his body last September-ish. If you're interested in seeing them I am happy to send them over. He requires no maintenance for his current job with me. If someone wants to take him and really hone in on his jumping he will most likely require hock injections eventually.
Have I mentioned how much I love this horse? He's like the Spanish version of my QH Cuban.
PPE's welcome.
Come fall in love with Affy,
