Each day includes roughly an hour a day of in-class curriculum. Horsemanship theory, if you will.
Proper terminology, breeds and colors, history of horses and the disciplines, observations, gaits, emergencies 101, basic feeds and feeding, tools, and more.
The remainder of the course is spent getting hands on horses. This is where we apply what we've learned in the classroom.
Balance points, the idea of feel, catching and tying, attention to detail and getting around horses of all types for saddling, grooming, bridling, preparing to ride, and more.
We'll cover the basic training theory in forwards, backwards, guiding in the directions and through the gaits. Basic ground control, awareness of the feet, equitation, aids, communication, rein management, etc.
All activities and lessons are taught with feel in mind. To help you become a valued asset within this industry and a better horseman for your horse going forward.
